We cut it

Every necklace is cut in stainless steel, polished and fitted with its chain, and the design is checked against your drawing or photograph before the steel is cut.

The picture stays yours

It is used to cut your piece and nothing else: not resold, not published, not used to train anything. It is deleted when the order closes.

What makes a good drawing to send?

One drawing on its own, photographed flat in daylight with the whole thing in the frame. Crayon, marker, pencil and pen all work; the lines become the metal, so a drawing with clear outlines cuts best. Shading and colour fill are left out. For a photo necklace, send one pet or one person roughly facing the camera, with their eyes visible.

What is it made of?

Every Linnory necklace, the pendant and the chain, is made of stainless steel, in silver tone or gold tone. It's drawn from your photo or your child's drawing, with their name.

Which length should I pick?

A drawing necklace comes in 16, 18, 20, 22 or 24 inches. The 16 sits at the collarbone on a child or a small neck; the 18 is the everyday length for most adults; the longer ones fall onto the chest. A photo necklace comes on an 18 inch chain.

Can I add a name?

Yes. Type up to 20 characters under your picture, a name or a date or a short word, and it is worked into the design. If it comes back with something you did not ask for, change it and draw it again. It stays free until you approve one.

Can I send it as a gift?

Yes, and most of what we make leaves as one. Put their address at checkout and it goes straight to them in its gift box. For Christmas, order by 23 November.

How do I look after it?

Stainless steel needs very little care. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth now and then, and take it off before swimming in a pool or the sea.
